My roommate ran a hair dryer at 5:45am for 4 months, but here is the thing I can not get past
This went down in a two bedroom in Boise from January through April. She had a 6am shift and every single morning the alarm would go off at 5:30, then the hair dryer would kick on at 5:45 and run for 25 minutes. Thin walls. I asked her twice to try a different spot in the apartment and she said the outlet in the bathroom was the only one that worked with her mirror setup.
Here is where I am torn. Half of my friends say a shared wall means you just deal with it, that is what you signed up for. The other half say anyone running a small appliance that long at that hour is being rude on purpose.
So which is it? Is it on the noisy person to change their routine, or on the person who chose the cheaper room next to the bathroom to buy earplugs? Because I keep going back and forth and I genuinely do not know who is being unreasonable here.
