Why do roommates act like the thermostat is a presidential decree?
My old roommate would flip out if I touched it by even 2 degrees, then blast the AC all July in Nashville. Is it just me, or does every shared house have one person who treats the thermostat like a sacred relic instead of a button?
Thermostat fights are really about control, not temperature. The person who treats it like a sacred relic is usually the same one who feels like they have no say anywhere else in the house, so this tiny dial becomes their whole kingdom.
