My sister and I clash on baking times for muffins.

She underbakes for gooey centers, I bake till golden... who's right?

Lol, this whole debate takes me back to when I botched a batch of cookies by pulling them out too soon. They looked done on top but were straight up dough inside, total fail. Had to scoop them back onto the tray and everyone ended up with crispy edges and sad faces. Goes to show timing is everything with baked goods, but hey, at least you both care enough to argue about it.

Ugh been there! Totally messed up banana muffins last week. Pulled them at 18 minutes like the recipe said. Toothpick came out clean but nope, totally raw in the middle. Ate one anyway and it was like warm batter. So gross. Timing is so tricky.

Gooey centers are the best part, your sister is onto something. Underbaking keeps them soft and tasty instead of dry and overdone. Golden brown might look good but it kills the flavor and texture. Muffins should be fun to eat, not just pretty to look at. Stick with the gooey middle, it's way better.
