Stopped sifting flour after 6 months of dense banana bread and the answer was a $3 whisk from Target
I mean maybe it's just me but dumping the dry stuff in a bowl and mixing it with a fork for 30 seconds before adding wet gave me the same airy crumb as sifting, so has anyone else ditched the sifter or am I missing something that bite of chalky baking soda was supposed to teach me?
That fork trick is honestly so real and I'm kinda mad nobody told me sooner either. Spent actual money on a fancy sifter and it just made more dishes to wash for basically the same result. The one time it matters is if your baking soda is clumpy, and even then you can just smoosh the lumps out with your fingers before it hits the bowl.
