Best day I've had in the chair in 4 years happened last Saturday in Nashville

A walk-in sat down wanting a mid-fade with a hard part, no reference photo, and by the time he got up he tipped me $40 and said it was the sharpest cut he'd gotten since moving here - has anyone else had a random walk-in just make your whole week like that?

Man those kind of walk-ins are a total gift. Had a guy come in a few months back wanting a skin fade and a beard trim, no real idea what he wanted just trusted me to do my thing. He had this thick hair that was kind of a mess from growing it out during the pandemic. After I finished he looked in the mirror and just said "dude you saved me from looking like a homeless guy" then dropped a $50 tip on a $35 cut. Felt like I was floating the rest of the day.

Honestly never thought about how much that trust says about the relationship.

@hayden144 nailed it man. Floating is the right word for that feeling.
