Clippers chatter getting louder, check your blade tension first
Ngl, I keep seeing new barbers grab a fresh pair of clippers and blame the blade when they hear that grinding noise. Last week a guy in my shop swapped three different blades before I told him to tighten the screw a quarter turn and it fixed everything, sounds like a loose spring not a dull edge. Anyone else deal with this or do yall just skip straight to oiling?
Real talk though, loose tension causes a rattle, but if it's actually grinding you're usually dealing with dried gunk or a bent drive pin, not the screw. Check that first before you start cranking things down.
