Fell for that "professional" clipper oil scam

Bought a $25 bottle of "premium" clipper oil from a supplier online and it turned out to be just fancy mineral oil in a fancy bottle. Wasted 2 days trying to figure out why my blades were getting hot before a buddy told me the truth. Any of you guys get tricked by overpriced lubricant?

Same thing happened to me, it's just baby oil with a fancy label.

Damn, I totally used to swear by that stuff. But yeah @wadem89 you're right, I checked the ingredients and it's basically the same cheap oil with a markup. Feel kinda dumb for spending extra on it now.

I mean, I get what you're saying, but I still think the brand name stuff works better for my skin, even if it's just marketing. I tried the cheap oil once and it gave me a weird rash, so I'll pay extra to not deal with that again. Also, some of these companies put actual fragrance and better ingredients in there, not just mineral oil. Just saying "it's the same" doesn't always hold up when your skin reacts different.
