Got called out by a customer at the shop in Phoenix last week
I was doing a fade on a regular client and the back line was a little wavy. He pointed it out in the mirror and said it looked like a roller coaster track. Has anyone else had a customer call them out mid-cut like that?

Had a guy once tell me his beard line looked like a map of Florida, and @grantmartinez probably wouldve just nodded and kept cutting.

Was it a clean mirror or one of those dimly lit spots? I had a guy once tell me the transition on his temple was "jagged like a steak knife" mid-cut. @grantmartinez is right that he shouldve let you finish, but sometimes you gotta shut it down quick by saying "let me hit that spot after I blend the crown, I gotta see the whole picture first." For me, pocketing the clipper and stepping back to look at the full shape with the client usually calms them down.

The "roller coaster track" line is actually a pretty fair way to describe it. But calling you out mid-cut is rough, that's on him for not waiting till you finished. You can't fix a line until you see where the whole shape is going.
