Had a client last week who insisted on a skin fade with no guard at all
Guy sat down, pointed at a photo on his phone, and said 'take it down to nothing above the ears' - I tried to warn him but he was dead set. 20 minutes later he looked in the mirror and goes 'oh man that's way too short' - anyone else ever have a customer ignore your advice and then regret it mid-chop?

Only issue is "skin fade with no guard" doesn't really make sense since a skin fade takes it to bare skin with a foil shaver or trimmer, not a clipper guard.

Take it easy on the guy, it's pretty clear what he meant. Half the barbers I've been to would call that a zero fade even if they finish with a foil shaver. Feels like hair terminology gets way too nitpicky sometimes, especially on here.
