Had my worst day in the chair this Tuesday in Denver

I do fades and beard trims mostly at a shop on Colfax, and this one day every single client showed up late or wanted something different than what they booked. Three guys asked for a design I never practiced and I had to wing it messy. Anyone else get those days where nothing goes right from the first clipper buzz?

Three guys showed up late and wanted a straight razor shave on a Sunday when you clearly don't offer that. That sounds rough but honestly late clients and last minute changes are just part of the job in my book. I'd rather have that than no clients at all and you still got paid for the day.

@johnson.faith you still get paid but three wing-it designs in one day is a recipe for a rough night.

Used to think clients showing up late was the worst part of the chair. But that Tuesday changed my mind when a guy asked for a complex geometric pattern with zero reference and I just started cutting, hoping for the best. It came out crooked and he still paid but you could tell he was disappointed, which somehow felt worse than a no-show. Getting paid doesn't fix that sinking feeling when you know a design just didn't land right.
