Noticed something weird with my fade transitions lately
After I switched from a plastic guard to a metal one about 3 weeks ago, my blend lines went from needing 4 passes to just 2 and I'm wondering if it's the tool or if I finally stopped rushing through the fade section.

Yo that's awesome! I feel you on the rushing thing, I did the same exact thing and switching to metal honestly just forced me to slow down and pay attention.

I saw a YouTube video a few weeks back that said metal guards actually have a smoother glide path because the plastic ones flex just a tiny bit under pressure. @hayden144 called it too, the metal guard makes you pay attention because you can feel every single hair passing through. I noticed it when I swapped to my Wahl Premium guards, it was like night and day how clean my blend came out on the first pass.
