PSA: My old way of blending fades with just clippers was a total waste of time

I used to think a clean fade was all about the clipper work, so I'd spend 20 minutes just going over the same lines trying to get them perfect. Then I watched a barber from Miami named Carlos do a demo at a convention last year, and he used his shears and comb to soften everything up first. Now I do that initial blend with my shears in under five minutes before I even touch the clippers, and the final result is way smoother. Anyone else switch up their blending order like that?

Man, I feel that. I used to do the same thing and it drove me crazy. Getting that blend right first makes all the difference.

Actually, it can take a lot longer than two weeks to fix a bad blend. That's the part people really notice.

Seriously? It's just hair, man. It grows back in two weeks. All that extra fuss for something nobody but you will even notice.
