Serious question, why do new guys keep skipping the 3 week chair test before buying their first real setup?
Back when I started at a shop on 5th in Eugene, the old heads made every apprentice cut hair on a beat up chair for 3 weeks before they could touch a real station, and it taught you posture and footwork fast. Now I see guys walk in with $800 in gear and no time in the chair, then wonder why their fades wobble after 4 clients. Did any of you have to earn your station time like that, or was it just my shop that did it?
