Spent 3 hours trying to fix a clipper that just needed a drop of oil

I was so frustrated with my Oster 76s bogging down on thick hair, took it apart twice before my old mentor laughed and said did you even try oiling it first. Anyone else ever overthink a simple problem and waste half a day?

Put a drop of oil on anything and suddenly you're a mechanic. Three hours of frustration vs three seconds of maintenance, always feels like a personal attack.

Tearing apart a perfectly good machine for three hours sounds like a productive afternoon to me.

That is until you realize you knocked the carb float out of adjustment.
