Story about a kid who taught me something at my chair last week

Had a 12 year old come in for a first real haircut last Tuesday. No parents hovering just him and his phone. He showed me a picture of some anime character with crazy spiky hair and asked if I could do that. I told him straight up it would look goofy in real life. He laughed and said just make it look cool. Ended up doing a textured crop with some pompadour height. He stared at himself for like 30 seconds then said this is sick. Made my whole week. You ever had a young client change how you think about a cut?

My friend Jen gave a guy a trendy layered cut and he came back furious that it made him look like a soccer mom from 2005. Turns out he was 42 and just wanted a clean trim.
