TIL a client's hair grew back way thicker after he stopped using a $4 drugstore shampoo for 6 months.
He switched to a basic sulfate-free bar and the before-and-after photos from his last two visits show a huge difference in texture and volume, so has anyone else seen a product change make that big of an impact on hair health?

My cousin had the same thing happen with her curly hair. She ditched her old conditioner for a cheap apple cider vinegar rinse, like twice a month. Her curls went from frizzy and flat to actually defined, it was wild.

ACV rinses can be great for removing buildup, but they don't add moisture back in like conditioner does. Using only vinegar might make hair feel dry and brittle over time, especially for curls that need a lot of hydration. A lot of people have better luck using it as a monthly clarifying treatment, then following up with a regular conditioner. That way you get the shine without stripping all the good oils.

I saw a whole article about how sulfates can strip your hair over time. It makes sense that cutting them out would let your natural oils do their thing. Some people just need a simpler routine, you know?
