Vent: Lisbon trip made me switch up my fade finish
I used to rely on clippers alone for fades. After seeing a barber there use shears for the final touch, I gave it a shot back at the shop. The soft edge it leaves is worth the extra step.

Wait, you changed your whole technique because of one barber in Lisbon? That's a wild reason to switch up your fade game. Guess a vacation can change anything.

What's interesting is how a simple change in tools can make a big difference. Seeing that barber use only two guards and a razor shows that more stuff doesn't mean better work. It's like when you fix something at home with just what you have instead of buying new tools. The key is taking the time to blend, like Jesse said. Vacations open your eyes, but it's the lesson that sticks. Now I wonder what other daily tasks could be done simpler.

That barber in Lisbon had me watch him work for 20 minutes before he even touched my hair. You're right, @the_cora, a vacation can change things, but it was seeing him use just two guards and a straight razor for the whole fade that flipped a switch for me. Now I spend twice as long on the blend, but I get way fewer complaints about lines.
