Vent: overhead a guy at the supply shop say he's been using the same clipper blade for 5 years without sharpening

I was at the beauty supply on Grand Ave yesterday picking up some thinning shears and I heard this older barber talking to the clerk. He was dead serious, said he hasn't touched a stone or sent anything out since 2020. Just keeps using it till it tugs. I wanted to say something but I didn't. I mean, that has to be wrecking peoples hair and skin right? Has anyone else run into barbers admitting to stuff like that? How do you even approach talking to someone about it without sounding like a jerk?

Used to think it was fine but now I see how rough that is on their clients.

Yeah totally with you on this, it's tough to call someone out like that without it getting awkward. @raymitchell is right though, that's just rough on clients' hair and scalps.
