Spent 45 minutes trying to get a Pyrex lid off a Goodwill casserole dish before I realized it wasn't stuck, it just had a different lid

That happened to me once with a green lid on a blue bowl at a thrift store.

Hold up, are we really stressing this hard about lid numbers at a thrift store? I mean, your mileage may vary, but I've grabbed plenty of mismatched tupperware and it still holds leftovers just fine. Snapware lids are kind of a pain regardless of the number, in my experience. Seems like a lot of mental energy for a 50 cent bowl, but hey, if it makes you happy, go for it.

My local Goodwill must get a lot of mixed up sets because I see mismatched lids all the time. I started checking the bottom of the dish for a number then matching it to the lid's number before I even walk to the register. Saves a lot of frustration later.
