That one comment about my lamp shades made me ditch the whole booth layout
Some lady at the flea market in Portland told me my lamps were blinding her and she couldn't even look at my other stuff. Swapped to soft white bulbs and angled the shades down, and suddenly I'm selling 3 lamps per Sunday instead of 1. Has anyone else had a customer's random gripe totally fix their setup?

Oh man, did I take my booth lighting personally for way too long before someone finally told me it looked like a interrogation room? Now I just tell people I'm going for "cozy book nook" vibes and it actually works way better.

Haha interrogation room, that is brutal. Cozy book nook is the perfect fix though, super smart way to flip the script. Warm lights and soft shadows make all the difference. Maybe it's just me but I feel like harsh lighting scares off potential customers. It makes everything look cheap even if the products are nice.

Oh yeah, "interrogation room" is brutal but also hilarious (and probably accurate, ouch). I had the exact same thing happen with my booth at a craft fair last year. Someone told me my lights made everything look like a late night diner, all yellow and harsh, and I just thought it was "bright" until then. Switching to those little warm LED clip lights and aiming them at the walls instead of straight down totally changed the whole feel, I swear people slow down way more now.
