The Goodwill in Tacoma taught me to never shop on Monday mornings
Went there last Monday at 9am opening and it was a complete zoo. People literally pushing carts into each other over a beat up bookshelf. I watched this older guy grab a lamp out of a volunteer's hand before she even got it on the shelf. Now I only go Wednesday afternoons way more chill and I found a vintage Pyrex set for $12. Anyone else have a specific day that works better for their local spots?

Oh man, sounds like a Black Friday free-for-all but with lamps instead of TVs.

Right, because nothing says "retail therapy" like watching a grown adult dive over a folding table for a dusty $10 floor lamp. I'm half expecting someone to start hoarding them and opening a lamp museum next week. At least with TVs you can argue the picture quality, but a lamp's peak feature is usually just "it turns on.
