Pro tip: Checkout the ceiling at the Busboys and Poets in DC

So I was killing time at the Busboys and Poets on 5th Street in DC last weekend and I noticed something wild. The whole ceiling is covered in these old, hand-painted signs from like the 1920s. There's one for a shoe repair shop that says "Heels Half Price" with a weird cartoon shoe. I counted at least 15 different ads up there, all faded and peeling. It totally caught me off guard because I was just there for a bathroom break and a coffee. Has anyone else spotted hidden stuff like that in random places?

ryan369 that thing about the pharmacy ceiling being original is pretty interesting. It reminds me of this old pizza place I went to in Philly, Lorenzo's maybe? The whole back wall was this faded mural from the 70s advertising "World's Best Hoagies" with a giant cartoon sub that looked like a train. Place was a total dive but people kept coming back just to look at that wall, same as people probably go to that Busboys for the ceiling.

I read that whole ceiling is original from when it was a pharmacy back in the day.
