Showerthought: My buddy's 5 words wrecked my whole routine
Was venting to my friend Dave in the parking lot after work about how I hate mornings. He just said "You chose to wake up early." Hit me hard because I've been blaming my alarm for 3 years. Turns out I signed up for that 5 AM shift at the warehouse willingly. Made me realize how much I complain about stuff I actually picked for myself. Now I'm stuck wondering if my whole life is just a series of choices I pretend are forced on me. Has anyone else had a friend say something simple that made you rethink everything?

Man that's heavy. I had a buddy tell me once "you're the one not saying no" when I was complaining about always covering other people's shifts at my old job. Made me realize I was scared of letting people down even when they were taking advantage of me. Still think about that sometimes when I feel stuck.
