That $15 shower caddy took me 4 tries to install because I measured wrong
I kept assuming the adhesive strips would hold if I just pressed harder, but nope, it fell off twice. Ended up drilling holes and using anchors instead. Anybody else waste time trying to skip the proper hardware?

Wait, aren't those adhesive strips usually rated for way less weight than a shower caddy full of bottles? I learned that the hard way too, now I just skip the sticky stuff and go straight for the screws.

Wait, is it really that big of a deal if the caddy falls down once? I mean yeah, it's annoying and you might have to clean up a mess, but it's not like the world is ending. I've had those strips hold up a pretty heavy soap dispenser for like two years with no issues, so I think it depends on the brand and how clean your tile is before you stick them. Plus, drilling into tile is a whole different level of commitment, you could crack it and then you're really stuck with a mess. I just feel like people act like a little sticky strip failing is the end of the world when it's really just a minor inconvenience.
