The before and after of my neighbor's lawn over 3 weeks was wild

Honestly, I watched my neighbor Dave's front yard go from a patchy mess of crabgrass to this perfect green carpet in like 3 weeks flat. Turns out he spent $80 on some liquid lawn treatment from a local nursery downtown and watered it every morning at 6am like clockwork. I half expected him to be fake, but I walked past his house yesterday and the grass is actually thick and even now. Has anyone else had that kinda luck with a quick fix for their yard?

My neighbor tried something similar and it looked great for about two months before it started browning out in patches. I'd give it a full season before calling it a real fix.

Whoa I gotta push back a little on that one @the_stella. Two months sounds like it could be a prep issue or maybe they skimped on the top coat or something. I've seen that kind of job hold up for two or three seasons easy if you do it right. The key is making sure the stone is bone dry and you don't rush the drying time between coats. It's not a miracle fix but it's way more than a two month bandaid if you put the work in.
