During a flat fix, the customer's staring made me fumble the tire lever
I was replacing a tube on a mountain bike. The customer leaned in so close I could smell his coffee. He asked why I was using a specific tool for the bead. I got flustered and almost pinched the new tube. Any tips for keeping cool when someone's breathing down your neck?

Caught a tip on a forum about describing your actions as you work. Helps you stay calm and educates the customer at the same time.

Sounds like a great way to annoy people who just want the job done.

But where's the line, you know? Like when does explaining things cross from helpful into annoying? Maybe @tessabell's way works if you keep it short.
