I dropped $80 on a set of JIS screwdrivers for old Japanese bikes and it saved a stripped head on a '70s Fuji crank bolt.
Has anyone else found a specific tool that was totally worth the cash for a niche repair?

Honestly, eighty bucks for screwdrivers seems like a lot. I get the right tool for the job, but that's a steep price for one crank bolt. Couldn't you just use a careful hand with a regular bit? Sometimes it feels like we buy super specific tools for problems we might only see once.

Oh man, that's the best feeling. Spending a bit extra on the right tool just makes everything go smooth. What are you working on next?

Right? That "best feeling" when the right tool just fits is so real. I once spent way too long trying to force a regular socket on something weird before I gave up and bought the right one. Felt like a total goof, but @riley_miller25 gets it, that smooth click is worth the cash sometimes. My wallet cries a little, but my projects stop fighting me.
