Rant: my new chain whip kept slipping on a seized cassette, had to file the teeth down
Picked up a cheap steel whip last month, it rounded off the lockring on a rusted 11-34 in Boise, so I ground 1mm off each tooth with a bench grinder and now it bites hard, has anyone else had to modify a tool right out of the box?

Yeah, did the same with a file. Tools are meant to be fixed.
