Stuck between a Park Tool truing stand and a cheap Amazon one
I had to pick between dropping $250 on a Park Tool TS-2.2 or grabbing a $60 no-name stand from Amazon. Went with the cheap one cause my budget was tight and honestly I regret it so bad. The thing wobbles like crazy and I can't get a wheel perfectly true no matter how hard I try. Has anyone else dealt with a flimsy truing stand and found a fix or should I just suck it up and buy the Park Tool?

Did you try fixing the wobble or just assume it's junk from the start? Sometimes a little shimming or tightening the bolts helps.

Bought a cheap truing stand years ago and ended up clamping it to a table with two giant C-clamps from Harbor Freight. Worked okay for a while until I accidentally over tightened one and cracked the plastic base. Now I just use the old spin it on the frame and eyeball it trick.
