TIL a zip tie trick for keeping cables quiet inside the frame

So I've been chasing this annoying rattle inside my road bike frame for weeks. Took the whole thing apart and tried foam bits and electrical tape but nothing stuck. Yesterday I grabbed a long zip tie and ran it through the frame alongside the cable housing to keep it from slapping. Worked like a charm first try. Has anyone else found a simple hack like this for internal cable noise?

Yeah but zip ties can actually bunch up and cause more rattling if you're not careful.

Man, isn't that how it always goes? You buy all this fancy foam and tape, but the simplest solution ends up being a zip tie, which is basically just a piece of plastic. It's like how half the stuff in my toolbox is for things I never actually need to fix, but a chopstick or a paperclip saves the day.
