Tried two ways to set up a tubeless tire and the difference was huge
Honestly, I was setting up a new gravel tire on a Mavic rim last week and tried the old method of just pouring sealant in and using a floor pump. It wouldn't seat at all, even after like 20 tries. Then I used a cheap booster can I got for $40 and it popped right on the first go. The air volume from the booster made all the difference for that tight bead. Anyone else find that some rims just won't play nice without a booster?

Totally! My boost can is a lifesaver for stubborn beads.

Some rims are just built too tight. A floor pump doesn't push enough air fast enough to get past that initial seal. The booster can is basically a cheat code for those situations. It's not even about the tool being fancy, it's just raw air volume. Once you use one on a stubborn setup, you never go back to fighting it with a regular pump.
