Was dead against electronic shifting for years, finally caved on a used Ultegra Di2 gruppo
I ran mechanical Ultegra on my main road bike from 2014 up until last spring. Figured e-shifting was just another expensive thing to break and leave you stranded. Then I picked up a crashed frame with a full Di2 groupset for $450 and decided to build it up. First ride I hit a steep climb and forgot to shift down, the system auto-trimmed the front derailleur anyway. Took me about 50 miles to trust it, but now I kinda miss the clicks of cables when I ride my old bike. Anyone else have a modern thing they resisted until they actually tried it?

Read an article claiming Di2 failures are mostly from people not charging it, not from mechanical issues.

Did I write this post and just forget about it? lol I fought Di2 for years too, now I can't go back even though I feel like a traitor every time I shift.
