A guy at the library told me to push through season 2 of The Wire and I almost gave up anyway
I started The Wire back in January and blew through season 1 in about a week. A coworker named Dave told me season 2 was the slow one and to just keep going because it pays off later. I got four episodes in and told him he was nuts, it felt like a whole new show about the docks. He said give it three more and if I still hated it he'd buy my lunch. He was right, by episode 8 I was hooked and finished the whole series in six weeks. Now I trust his picks way too much and he's got me starting Deadwood. Did anyone else almost bail on season 2 before it clicked?
