It took me 6 weeks to figure out why my laptop kept buffering during The Bear
Every single episode of season 2 would freeze for 2 seconds right at the big kitchen scenes and I blamed my wifi for a month. Finally my buddy Marcus from work asked what resolution I was streaming at and it turned out my old Roku stick was set to 4K on a 1080p TV in the bedroom. Switched it to 1080p and haven't seen a single stutter since. Anyone else waste weeks on a dumb setting like that?

Gotta disagree here... that 4K setting probably wasn't the real problem. Buffering on a different resolution wouldn't cause freezing at the exact same parts of every episode. That sounds more like your internet choking on the bitrate during busy scenes, and bumping it to 1080p just lowered how much data it had to pull. The setting change helped, sure, but I'd keep an eye on it in case your wifi is the thing actually acting up.
