My barber got me hooked on a show I'd never heard of...

I was getting a haircut last week at Frank's place on Elm Street, and he was telling me about this show called 'The Bear'. He said he watched all of season one in a single night, and he's not usually a big TV guy. He described it so well, talking about the stress of the kitchen and the family stuff, that I went home and put it on. I ended up watching four episodes back to back without even noticing. The way he talked about it, like it was a real place with real people, totally sold me. Now I'm halfway through season two. Has anyone else had a random person recommend a show that completely sucked you in like that?

My neighbor did that with Shrinking. He said it was funny and sad, which made me check it out. Now I'm waiting for season two.

My cousin did that with The Last of Us. I never play video games so I didn't care, but she just talked about the characters. Made me watch the first episode and I was done for. Finished it in a weekend.
