My roommate walked in during THAT scene and now I can't watch the show without laughing

I was three episodes deep into The Pitt at 2am, totally locked in, when my roommate stumbled home from a bar. Right as a major surgery scene hit its goriest moment, he leaned over my shoulder and goes 'is that guy eating a sandwich?' in this dead serious voice. I lost it completely, paused the show, and now every time I try to watch it I just picture a tube steak instead of an artery. Has anyone else had a show ruined by a perfectly timed interruption?

Ha! My ex called a Chernobyl reactor scene "angry microwave" and now @joseph_ellis85's "science grandpa" is all I think about.

My buddy ruined Breaking Bad for me by calling Walt "science grandpa.

I started calling him "Mr. Science Pants" and it actually made me enjoy the show more.
