My Saturday night was ruined by a show nobody talks about
Last weekend I was stuck in a motel in Amarillo with nothing to do, so I started watching 'The Bureau' on a whim and didn't move from the bed for 8 hours. It's a French spy thriller that just hooks you with all the little details about how agents live fake lives. Has anyone else stumbled onto a foreign show that totally took over your weekend like that?

Yeah it's wild how the best stuff always comes from outside the US bubble.

@jamesm38 exactly. France and Japan have been killing it with indie horror games lately. Crow Country and Signalis both blew my mind and they came from small teams outside the US. Even the action scene feels fresher over there.

Loved reading this. I had a similar thing happen with a German show called "Dark" a few years back. Started it on a Friday night and didn't stop until I finished the whole first season on Sunday. Something about seeing spy craft or time travel through another country's eyes makes it feel more grounded and real to me. The pacing is different too, less flashy, more about the quiet tension. Glad you found that show, sounds like a good kind of trouble to get stuck in.
