My streaming queue broke last night when my Roku remote stopped working mid-episode

I was three episodes deep into Dark when the remote just died, so I had to unplug the Roku and plug it back in to get the show going again, has anyone else had a remote give out at the worst time?

Had the exact same thing happen with my Roku remote right when I was about to find out who killed Laura Palmer in Twin Peaks. I ended up downloading the Roku app on my phone and using it as a remote instead, which honestly worked better than the physical one. I also grabbed a pack of replacement remotes off Amazon for like 8 bucks, so now I keep a spare in the drawer just in case. The phone trick saved me from having to get up though, which was nice.

Oh man, that's the worst! I had the exact same thing happen during the final season of Breaking Bad - remote just went dead right when Walt was doing something crazy. I ended up doing the unplug trick too, but I was so nervous I'd lose my spot or something. That phone app idea is genius though (wish I'd thought of that). It's always at the worst possible moment too, like the universe knows you're really into a show and decides to mess with you.
