Threw $40 at a show database app and it saved my watchlist from chaos
I spent $40 on a tracking app called Serialized to stop losing track of where I am in like 8 different shows at once. It sends me a notification when a new episode drops for anything I'm watching, which honestly saved me from spoilers on a couple huge twists. Has anyone else tried something like this or am I just extra disorganized?

Saved you from spoilers on a couple huge twists" I mean, are we really acting like remembering what show you're on is that hard? I get it, staying organized is nice, but $40 for basically a fancy reminder app feels like a lot. I just use the notes app on my phone for free, or I'll text myself the episode number. Not trying to be harsh, but this seems like a you problem more than a real crisis.

Wait $40? Forty dollars for an app that just tells you what episode you're on? That's... that's actually insane, I thought it was maybe like $5 or something. My mind is kind of blown right now that anyone would pay that much for something the notes app literally does for free. You can even set up a simple spreadsheet in Google Sheets for tracking shows if you're really that concerned about it. Honestly at that price point you're better off just buying a little notebook and keeping it in your TV stand drawer.

Jokingly side-eyeing my own wallet because I've definitely spent forty bucks on dumber things before, like a novelty cheese grater I used exactly once. The notes app point is solid though, I actually have a "currently watching" note that's just a mess of half-remembered episode numbers and emoji ratings. My problem is I'll start a show, get distracted, then come back three months later and have zero clue if I was on season 2 episode 4 or season 4 episode 2. At that point I'm just scrolling through Netflix's "continue watching" hoping it refreshes my brain, but honestly that feature has betrayed me more times than I can count.
