Vent: I put off The Wire for 3 years because everyone at work kept telling me to watch it
Every time I brought up a new show at lunch, my coworker Dana would say the same thing, "just watch The Wire already," and I'd nod and add it to a list I never touched. The hype felt too loud, like when a band gets big and you figure it can't be that good. Then my sister left the box set at my place in Baltimore (she lives two blocks from one of the corners they filmed on) and I threw on episode one just to get her off my back. Four nights later I was on season 3 and calling in sick to work, which I have never done for a show in my life. So what's the one everyone keeps bugging you about that you still refuse to press play on?

Did you ever have one of those where you finally cave and it's a letdown? My cousin would not shut up about Breaking Bad for years and I watched the whole thing mostly just mad at her. Still a good show but no way it was worth all that nagging.
