Damascus demo in Ohio changed my mind on 'proper' welds
Saw a guy at the Columbus hammer-in forge-weld with a heavy scarf and loose scale, told me I was overthinking it. I spent 12 years chasing perfect prep and his ugly billet held better than half my clean joints. Anyone else drop the textbook and go rougher?
