Hot take: power hammers are overrated for small shop work

Been forging for 8 years in my garage in Austin and honestly my 3lb rounding hammer does 90% of what I need. Last week I watched a buddy drop 4 grand on a pneumatic hammer and he still can't get his bevels straight. Who else thinks hand tools teach you way more control than buying a machine?

My uncle used a railroad spike and a sledgehammer for 30 years and his knives cut straight through steel.

Yeah but a railroad spike won't hold an edge like real knife steel.
