Quenching in warm oil instead of cold gave me tougher blades, and I'm sticking with it

Tried a 130 degree oil bath last month on some 1084 knives after reading an old forum post, and the edge durability surprised me so much that I'm wondering if everyone else who swears by cold quenches has actually tested both side by side, has anyone else seen this?
