Spent $40 on a good anvil stand and saved my back in one afternoon
I was using a busted old tree stump for months and my anvil kept wobbling. Finally bought a proper steel stand from a guy local to me in Richmond. Set it up in about 20 minutes and the difference was night and day. Has anyone else had that moment where a cheap fix cost you more time than just buying the right thing?

Funny how we'll fight a janky setup for months before spending the cash that fixes it in 20 minutes. Learned that lesson the hard way with my old welding table.

And that's the thing, @hayes.joel, it ain't just with tools. I see it everywhere. People will spend weeks wrestling with a shitty workflow at their job or a broken routine at home before dropping twenty bucks on the one thing that makes it all click. It's like we're wired to believe suffering through the hard way builds character or something. But really it just burns time and patience that we never get back. Once you finally fix it, you just stare at the old setup wondering why you waited so long. Makes you rethink everything else you're probably overcomplicating, doesn't it?
