Am I the only one who thinks flash is actually better than bumping ISO for dark shots?
My buddy Dan shoots shows at a bar in Austin and he told me last week that on camera flash is always a crime and you should just crank your ISO instead. I tried both at my cousin's birthday party last Saturday and honestly the ISO 6400 shots came out grainy and orange while the flash pics were sharp and clean. I get that flash can look harsh and kill the vibe, but a little bounce card or even a napkin taped over it fixed that for me. So why does everyone push high ISO like it's the only real answer? Anyone here actually shoot dark rooms with flash and get good results?
