Just realized my phone camera has a night mode I never noticed

I kept getting super dark photos at a birthday party last week so I dug into the settings on my Galaxy. Turns out there's a night mode option that brightens things up without using a flash. Has anyone else missed a basic feature for way too long?

Dude same thing happened to me on my Pixel 6 last month. I was about to buy a new phone just cause my indoor pics sucked then I found the night setting by accident.

Wait wait wait, you were seriously about to drop money on a new phone just because you didn't know about the night setting? That's wild to me. I mean, I get it, bad indoor pics are annoying, but I would've been so mad at myself if I bought a whole new device over a menu option I missed. My buddy literally complained about his camera for three months before I showed him the same setting on his Samsung. It's kind of funny how we'll blame the hardware instead of just poking around the settings for five minutes, isn't it?
