My phone died mid-kids-game, that blurry mess taught me a lesson
Coaching my son's soccer match last Saturday in Tacoma, I pulled out my phone to grab a shot and it shut off at 15% battery, so I got this dark, smeared photo of the goal that looks like a watercolor painting. Turns out the camera app drains way faster than I thought, so now I just keep it in airplane mode during games, has anyone else had their phone kill the battery right when the action starts?

That blurry mess actually sounds like it could be a keeper, but I get your frustration. Have you ever looked into why the camera app drains power so fast on your specific phone model, or did you just switch to airplane mode without checking? I'm curious if it's a known issue with certain updates, because my wife's phone does the same thing but mine doesn't, and we have the same brand. Seems like there should be a way to lock the screen brightness down or close background apps before the kickoff, but maybe that's just me overthinking it.
