Warning: Hit 500 blurry photos before i realized my lens was smudged

I took over 500 pictures of my kid's soccer games before noticing a greasy fingerprint on my phone lens from last week's pizza. Cleaned it with my shirt and now everything's sharp. Anyone else have a facepalm moment like this?

Wait, wiping a phone lens with your shirt actually works? Tbh I learned the hard way that shirts with fabric softener can leave a residue that makes things worse. Honestly a microfiber cloth is way better for this, even a glasses cleaning wipe works. Ngl I've done the exact same thing though, took like 200 blurry photos of my dog at the park once before I realized I had a smudge. Kinda feels like a rite of passage for anyone with a smartphone.

Nah I actually kinda like the fabric softener residue thing, gives my photos that dreamy vintage look you can't fake with filters. Tried a microfiber cloth once and everything came out too sharp, made my cat look like he had razor blades for fur.
