I swore off co-op games for 2 years until my brother in law made me try one at his place in Reno
I used to hate co-op games because I got burned bad by one at a game night in 2022 where three of us just argued about who was doing what for 2 hours. So I stopped playing them and stuck to 2 player duels where I could just focus on my own moves. Then my brother in law pulled out a co-op game at his house in Reno and I almost said no, but he talked me into one round. We lost the first game in about 20 minutes and I was ready to quit, then we won the next 3 in a row and I actually had fun talking through what to do. Turns out my problem was never co-op games, it was playing them with 4 people who all wanted to be the boss. Anybody got a co-op game that works good with just 2 players? That is the only way I want to play them now.
Did your brother in law ever tell you about the time my buddy Pete did the same thing? Pete hated co-op too after some mess with a bunch of guys who wouldn't stop yelling. Then his wife got him playing one with just the two of them and he turned into a total co-op guy overnight. Now they play together almost every night and he says two players is the sweet spot because you can actually talk instead of fighting over the plan. He even bought his own copy the next week so they could keep going at home.
