Our gaming group's worst night was actually the BEST one we ever had
Last Tuesday at Mike's place in Denver, the power went out 20 minutes into our weekly Gloomhaven session. Instead of packing up, we lit candles and played a chaotic game of Werewolf in the dark for 3 hours, and I laughed harder than I have in months. The whole night proved that the people matter way more than the fancy components or the perfect strategy. Has anyone else had a ruined game night turn into something unforgettable?
What was it about the dark that changed things up so much for your group? Like did losing the board and all the pieces actually free you guys up to just be silly and not worry about rules for once? I ask because my crew gets so wrapped up in getting every move right that we forget to just have fun sometimes. Werewolf sounds perfect for that since it's all about reading people and joking around. Did anyone in your group end up being weirdly good at lying once the lights went out?
